A Good Way To Improve Twitter.

Here’s a good way to improve Twitter in the future: link up people’s Twitter accounts with their minds. Then, every time the person has a thought, it automatically gets tweeted. No exceptions. Also, you cannot delete any tweets, ever. Also every person in the world is required by law to have one. How ’bout it, science?

  1. Hahaha.

In all seriousness, though, there is this awful flaw in Twitter that should have been fixed before they even launched. When you mention somebody in a tweet and that user changes their username down the road, the @ reference in the tweet is not modified to reflect this. If Twitter is really supposed to be a “mini-blog” type service where one of the major sticking points is to archive your thoughts, this is a big oversight.

    • Hmm, yeah that is weird. I’m surprised more people have not complained about this, it seems like a pretty big deal.

  2. Perhaps, but you’d have to get the Vulcans to sign off on it first. 🙂
